How video time is measured
The Athlete plan includes 5 hours of uploaded video. The Team plan includes 25 hours shared by every coach on the team. Time is measured by the actual length of your clips, not file size. A 6-minute match uses 6 minutes, whatever the resolution. Need more room? Remove older clips to free up time. YouTube links never count toward your hours.
Who can see your videos
Videos you upload to your own reports are private by default. You share them explicitly, with your coach, a teammate, or no one. Each person you share with gets a private thread only visible to you and them. Team video is seen by the team's owner, managers, and coaches, plus the athletes on that scouting report or coach note and their parents. No public hosting.
What happens when you cancel
Cancel anytime. Your videos keep playing through the end of your billing period, plus a 30-day grace window. After that they are hidden but not deleted, and renewing brings everything back instantly, with no re-uploading. If you go 12 months without a plan, we may permanently delete your uploaded video, and we will email you before we do.
Built on Mux
Video delivery is powered by Mux, the same infrastructure used by major sports platforms. Your videos stream reliably on any device, in any browser, with no quality loss on playback.
YouTube links are free on every MatScout plan and will never require a subscription.
